01 Dispute Resolution Practice
Anthony is a dual-qualified international dispute resolution lawyer who is regularly engaged as counsel, arbitrator or mediator for commercial disputes. He is the exclusive winner of Lexology’s 2024 and 2025 Client Choice Awards for Arbitration in Singapore where he was described as having “excellent legal skills” and “sharp analytical skills”, being “extremely approachable and always willing to meet clients’ demands”, and overall being “very commercial minded…a successful problem solver”.
Over the last fifteen years, Anthony has worked on dozens of international commercial and investment arbitrations including in the energy, oil and gas, renewables, mining, aviation, construction, M&A, crypto, trade and shipping sectors. These arbitrations applied numerous governing laws, were seated in different jurisdictions and were conducted under the rules of the most popular arbitral institutions (including the ICC, SIAC, LCIA, HKIAC, DIAC, DIS, LMAA and ICSID). He has also testified as an expert witness on Singapore arbitration law before national courts.
02Roles & Appointments
Anthony is admitted to the SIAC’s Reserve Panel of Arbitrators, serves as a Regional Ambassador for HKIAC’s HK45 and wrote the arbitral rules of the Beihai-Asia International Arbitration Centre. He is an Accredited Mediator with the Singapore International Mediation Institute, an International Mediator with Sage Mediation and sits as a Council Member of the International Law Association (Singapore branch).
In addition to his legal practice, Anthony’s academic publications cover a wide range of dispute resolution topics which have been awarded prizes by the Singapore Law Society and YSIAC. For several years, he participated in legal proceedings pro bono before the ECCC in Cambodia, against the former leaders of the Khmer Rouge.
03Education & Admissions
Anthony graduated from the London School of Economics (Bachelor of Laws with French Law, Honours) and Université de Strasbourg III Robert Schuman (Diplôme d’Etudes Juridiques Françaises, Mention). He is fluent in English and French, and admitted to the bars of New York and Singapore.

- Lead counsel for an Asian State-Owned Entity against two other Asian State-Owned Entities in a tripartite ICC arbitration in Hong Kong concerning gas transportation. Over US$350 million at stake
- Counsel for an Indonesian individual and family against a PRC company in two related HKIAC arbitrations in Hong Kong — one in Mandarin under Chinese law (US$114M), the other in English under Indonesian law (US$84M).
- Counsel for a Vietnamese individual against South Korean private equity firms in a Singapore-seated SIAC arbitration in the pharmaceutical industry. Over S$40 million in dispute.
- Lead counsel for a major Japanese company in an SIAC construction arbitration in Singapore applying Vietnamese substantive law. Over S$8.5 million in dispute.
- Lead counsel for a Malaysian company against a UAE company across an SIAC arbitration and the Singapore courts. Over US$25 million in dispute.
- Counsel for a French-German consortium against a Finnish utility in an ICC arbitration in Stockholm concerning the construction of a nuclear power plant. Over EUR 6.1 billion at stake.
- Lead counsel for an American company in an insurance-related ICC arbitration in Dubai against a Dubai company. Over AED 80 million at stake.
- Counsel for the subsidiary of an Asian State-owned energy company in two parallel ICC arbitrations in Singapore concerning an oil storage facility joint venture. Over US$80 million at stake.
- Lead counsel for a major cryptocurrency exchange in a Singapore-seated SIAC arbitration against a Slovenian individual, governed by Singapore law
- Lead counsel for an Indonesian company in a pharmaceutical-related SIAC arbitration applying Indonesian law in Singapore. Over S$9 million in dispute.
- Lead counsel for a Singaporean company in an aviation-related ICC arbitration in Paris, conducted in French.
- Counsel for Garanti Koza against Turkmenistan in an ICSID investment arbitration arising from a highway construction project under the UK–Turkmenistan BIT.
- Counsel for a Southeast Asian listed company in a Singapore-seated SIAC shipbuilding arbitration. Tens of millions of Singapore dollars at stake.
- Counsel for an Indian company against a Malaysian company in a Singapore-seated SIAC telecoms arbitration. Over US$800 million at stake.
- Lead counsel for a BVI company in a Hong Kong-seated HKIAC cryptocurrency arbitration governed by Hong Kong law.
- Counsel for investors in a fraudulent nickel trading scheme before the Singapore courts. Lost assets over S$35 million.
- Independent expert on Singapore arbitration law in Case 166/2564 before Thailand’s Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court.
- Sole arbitrator in SIAC and ad hoc proceedings between parties from Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, Vietnam and the Philippines.
